Det Grønne

2022
Visual narrative and spatial concept
In collaboration with Trine Lucia and Amalie Frimann

Green Spaces is a collection of conversation areas at the Department of Oncology at Rigshospitalet (breastcancer outpatient clinic). The project is a collaboration with Trine Lucia Højmark-Jensen and Amalie Frimann with support and supervision by the department staff.

Green Spaces is an attempt at creating areas for private conversations in a non-private haospital hallway. The space is designed to support the role of the nurse as a source of confiance and knowledge in vulnerable situations. Pulling on nature references the spaces function as a tranquil oasis while sheltering patient and personel from the busy hospital environment, allowing for more focused conversation improving both patient care and work satisfaction among hospital staff.

Read more about the project and study in the article published in Nordisk Sygeplejeforskning or watch the PR video here.

The project is funded by Danish Cancer Society and Tømrerhandler Johannes Foghs Fond.
